Replace the Cap

Screw cap onto body hand tight. Then back-off a quarter turn. Some agencies back it off a full turn which allows for agent to escape out the back. This allows for a visual reference to that you know your canister has expended its agent. The walls of the body are thick enough that you cannot hear the release of the agent.

After expending a canister through a wall or a vehicle the cap can removed without removing the ram from the wall. You can reload a new canister in the cap and place it back into the body. This allows you to place more agent into the structure without moving the ram. Care should be taken because the suspect, if not overcome from the agent, will know your location on the other side of the wall.
